  ἄ γω – ὁ ποιμ ὴ ν ἄ γει τ ὰ πρόβατα. (The shepherd leads the sheep.) α ἴ ρω – ὁ δο ῦ λος α ἴ ρει τ ὸ ν λίθον. (The servant lifts the stone.) ἀ κούω – ὁ μαθητ ὴ ς ἀ κούει τ ὸ ν διδάσκαλον. (The father sends the son.) βάλλω – ὁ πα ῖ ς βάλλει τ ὴ ν λίθον. (The boy throws the stone.) βαπτίζω – ὁ Ἰ ωάννης βαπτίζει ἐ ν τ ῷ Ἰ ορδάν ῃ . (John baptizes in the Jordan.) βλέπω – βλέπω τ ὸ φ ῶ ς. (I see the light.) γινώσκω – γινώσκω τ ὸ ν ἄ νθρωπον. (I know the man.) γράφω – γράφω ἐ πιστολήν. (I write a letter.) δέ – ὁ δ ὲ Ἰ ησο ῦ ς λέγει τ ὴ ν ἀ λήθειαν.
