ἄγω – ὁ ποιμὴν ἄγει τὰ πρόβατα.
(The shepherd leads the sheep.)
αἴρω
– ὁ δοῦλος αἴρει τὸν
λίθον.
(The servant lifts the stone.)
ἀκούω
– ὁ μαθητὴς ἀκούει
τὸν διδάσκαλον.
(The student hears the teacher.)
ἀλλά
– θέλω ἄρτον, ἀλλὰ
οὐκ ἔχω.
(I want bread, but I do not have it.)
ἀποστέλλω
– ὁ πατὴρ ἀποστέλλει
τὸν υἱόν.
(The father sends the son.)
βάλλω – ὁ παῖς
βάλλει τὴν λίθον.
(The boy throws the stone.)
βαπτίζω – ὁ

δέ – ὁ
δὲ Ἰησοῦς
λέγει τὴν ἀλήθειαν.

δέ is one of postpositive particles (or conjunctions) that are placed
second (or later) in the sentence. Postpositive particles: δέ (but, and, now), γάρ
(for), οὖν (therefore,
then), τε (and, both)
διδάσκω – ὁ
διδάσκαλος διδάσκει τὸν
νόμον.
(The teacher teaches the law.)
δοξάζω – οἱ ἄνθρωποι
δοξάζουσι τὸν
θεόν.
(People glorify God.)
ἐσθίω
