 ἄγω – ὁ ποιμὴν ἄγει τὰ πρόβατα.

(The shepherd leads the sheep.)

αἴρω – ὁ δοῦλος αἴρει τὸν λίθον.
(The servant lifts the stone.)

ἀκούω – ὁ μαθητὴς ἀκούει τὸν διδάσκαλον.
(The student hears the teacher.)

ἀλλά – θέλω ἄρτον, ἀλλὰ οὐκ ἔχω.
(I want bread, but I do not have it.)

ἀποστέλλω – ὁ πατὴρ ἀποστέλλει τὸν υἱόν.
(The father sends the son.)

βάλλω – ὁ παῖς βάλλει τὴν λίθον.
(The boy throws the stone.)

βαπτίζω – ὁ Ἰωάννης βαπτίζει ἐν τῷ Ἰορδάνῃ.
(John baptizes in the Jordan.)

βλέπω – βλέπω τὸ φῶς.
(I see the light.)

γινώσκω – γινώσκω τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
(I know the man.)

γράφω – γράφω ἐπιστολήν.
(I write a letter.)

δέ – ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς λέγει τὴν ἀλήθειαν.
(But Jesus speaks the truth.)
δέ is one of postpositive particles (or conjunctions) that are placed second (or later) in the sentence. Postpositive particles: δέ (but, and, now), γάρ (for), οὖν (therefore, then),  τε (and, both)

διδάσκω – ὁ διδάσκαλος διδάσκει τὸν νόμον.
(The teacher teaches the law.)

δοξάζω – οἱ ἄνθρωποι δοξάζουσι τὸν θεόν.
(People glorify God.)

ἐσθίω – ἐσθίω ἄρτον.
(I eat bread.)

εὑρίσκω – εὑρίσκω τὸ βιβλίον.
(I find the book.)

ἔχω – ἔχω φίλον.
(I have a friend.)

καί – ὁ πατὴρ καὶ ὁ υἱὸς ἐρχονται.
(The father and the son come.)

κηρύσσω – ὁ ἀπόστολος κηρύσσει τὸ εὐαγγέλιον.
(The apostle preaches the gospel.)

λαμβάνω – λαμβάνω τὸ δῶρον.
(I receive the gift.)

λέγω – ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει τὰ ῥήματα ζωῆς.
(Jesus speaks words of life.)

λύω – λύω τὸ δεσμὸν.
(I loosen the bond.)

πείθω – πείθω τὸν φίλον.
(I persuade the friend.)

πέμπω – ὁ βασιλεὺς πέμπει ἀγγέλους.
(The king sends messengers.)

πιστεύω – πιστεύω τῷ θεῷ.
(I believe in God.)

σώζω – ὁ Χριστὸς σώζει τοὺς ἀνθρώπους.
(Christ saves people.)
